Ben Hyman of Legal Services of North Florida and Natalie Maxwell and Reina Saco of Florida Legal Services will review common legal issues facing tenants following a disaster. The presentation will focus on tenants' rights under Florida's Residential Landlord and Tenant Act, including casualty damage and liability for damage to personal property, withholding rent and lease termination as well as tenants' rights under the HUD and USDA subsidized housing programs.
